sore thumb will forever and always be my favorite. wonder if he left it off of his ranking intentionally?

i think because that record is so special and personal to him bc of his friends death that he cant rank it

I’ve been holding off on buying this record on vinyl until they have a spooky orange or purple pressing to match the skeletons on the front. A glimpse into my mind

God, this band is so consistent. I love Real Stories and I put it on the bottom.

He says in the comments that it goes somewhere in the middle, either above or below gbol.

i didnt like bones much when it came out, thought it was their worst by a wide margin, but randomly was in an oso oso mood and threw it on, pretty good album lol. not a fan of the closer still but everything else is rad and i feel like it gets the pacing down better than most of their stuff, basking for example is an album where i enjoy all of the songs more or less but the sequencing is weird as hell to me after side a. also skippy may be their best tune yet

I love Bones but all the songs still kind of blend together for me.

i usually have that problem with these guys tbf, think if theres one issue they have across albums is they overcommit to a particular vibe rather than create a dynamic and diverse journey, and not every band needs to do that, but they have enough variety between what the albums individually sound like (basking -> sore thumb -> bones particularly) that if they wanted to they could pull it off
