I’d say that this thing is going to be pretty much untouchable for me as far as AOTY goes but we still have Jimmy Eat World coming in October so we’ll have to wait and see

Last song definitely has big time brand new vibes. Mike sapone was a great choice for this.

This is soooo good. Some friends of mine booked them to their venue/rehearsal space (cap 80-100) in October. I have a feeling that it's gonna be PACKED!

The Early November, Saves the Day, North Star, all feel like influences on here along with it sounding fresh and like its own work. I think the lyrics are really solid as well! very good album, going to be in rotation for a long time.

I get incredibly heavy Ben Jorgensen vibes from this. Definitely Early November too.

This is cool! I didn’t listen to the singles, so dig and impossible game were huge standouts along with Charlie and a morning song

the progression from yunahon to basking in the glow kinda reminds me of the progression charly bliss made from guppy to young enough.

I think part of the reason I love this band so much is that they’ve bypassed so many of the conventions (and limitations) of their contemporaries/the most recent waves of emo, and they sound more aligned with the best aspects of the third wave. Namely, dude can write a hook and isn’t afraid to do so.

Exactly that. Feel like a lot of the more recent "emo" bands are sprinting laps around eachother trying to fit in as many wacky riffs or overblown dramatic crescendos as possible to stand out. Finding an artist like Jade who's solely focused on writing good, catchy songs is refreshing. And then when he does dip his feet into more explorative stuff like Charlie, it feels even more rewarding
