No Other Land won best doc feature at the Cinema Eye Honors awards (the biggest awards solely dedicated to documentary filmmaking), but who knows if a doc sympathetic to the Palestinians will win the Oscar.

My guess is Oscar voters will go for Porcelain War, which is another Ukraine War documentary.

 

oh shit, just realized Diane Warren is nominated in the best original song category again. can't wait to see her lose and get upset for the 16th time (although i wouldn't be upset if she beats out Emilia Pérez, which seems unlikely)!

 

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets nominated for the 3rd year in a row but in the supporting actor category playing Joe Jackson in the Michael Jackson biopic

 

I would say yes the Oscars is scared of sex but then I remembered Anora got a nominated for a lot of awards

Now that The Apprentice got Oscar noms I do hope a streamer picks it up. It really is a good movie that more people should see, but because of who it is about and the current vibe I doubt it's gonna get a wide platform even with the noms.

I decided to watch the Simpsons episode where Homer joins the secret society.

When I reveal the movie a lot of the good posters here are going to get mad at me.

 

Is it not In a Violent Nature? That’s the only movie I really loved last year. That or TV Glow, I guess.

Have not seen "I'm Still Here" yet but i'm i'm willing to bet a lot of money it's better than the number 10 slot. Easily the biggest piece of shit nominated since.... Bohemian Rhapsody?

I've got a bad feeling this is the one Netflix finally takes the big award home for, but i'm hoping i'm wrong.
