Jeremy Strong's performance as Roy Cohn was so good that fucking Roger Stone who had every incentive to shit on this film was like "damn that shit went hard"

 

Unfortunately doesn't come out here in Norway until February 28th, for some insane reason

 

It’s crazy how just a little momentum can change things. Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie were being speculated for Best Actress noms earlier on with Demi Moore being seen as a long shot but oh how the tides have changed (and I am very happy for Demi!)

Nosferatu getting a bunch of technical design noms is cool to see. Those are all going to either Wicked or Dune 2 though.

 

Do you work for the Academy or something? I have never heard of these movies. Hundreds of critics posted their top ten lists and I never saw their names.

I listen to exactly 1 contemporary movie podcast (The Big Picture) and use Reddit/Bluesky and I've heard of basically everything that was nominated aside from shorts/documentaries

 

September 5 has been getting a ton of buzz on the festival circuit the past few months. It did really well at Venice I guess.
