My unpopular Oscars hot take is that while I enjoyed Demi Moore's performance The Substance I don't think it's Best Actress worthy at all. . I feel like the momentum behind her being the favorite more has to do with industry people wanting to see her "get her flowers" than the quality of her performance.

Honestly if they are making a deal of "horror performances are Oscar worthy now" with her nom. She did not even have the best female horror performance of 2024 imo.

 

I turned on the Red Carpet just to kill time. They showed Rachel Sennott and put "Rachel Zegler" up on the screen. Good start over there.
