Not sure I'll get a chance to catch the shorts this year because I've been so busy. I have three best picture noms left. Finally caught Past Lives this weekend and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Where do y’all hear these things? I’ve heard the Ken song twice and it’s because I’ve seen the movie two times lol. If it weren’t for the Grammys or SNL I’d say the same about the Billie one

Ah ok, yeah I don’t use tiktok so didn’t know those songs were popular on there still. I always kinda assumed trends were sort of like the wind on that app

 

They are but it’s significantly more annoying than when a song is all over the radio. It’s the same exact clip of the song over everything you see so you’re just stuck in a weird time loop

 

Glad I have still not succumbed to TikTok lol. I’ve also only heard the Ken song once other small clips here and there on Twitter when the movie first came out.

 

I have too many sensory issues for that app haha

 

Gosling should use his time to perform a Dead Mans Bones song instead.

Not sure if mentioned here but Poor Things will be on Hulu on March 7, I think it'll be the last of the major nominees I'll see before the ceremony (that'll be 6 out of 10 of the BP category).

 

I’m up to 7 BP nominees seen. Still need Anatomy of a Fall, Maestro, and Past Lives.

 

I have already seen Barbie, Oppenheimer, and Killers. I just watched Zone of Interest yesterday, and am watching American Fiction now.

So 5 left for me. Might do The Holdovers next
