The only lock I know of is RDJ as supporting actor. Maybe the boy and the heron for animated film as well.
just feels like Oppenheimer is going to sweep all the major awards, with the exception possibly of Da'Vine Joy taking supporting actress.
1. Poor Things 2. Killers of the Flower Moon 3. Barbie 4. Maestro 5. Oppenheimer 6. Anatomy of a Fall 7. The Holdovers 8. The Zone of Interest 9. Past Lives For me. I love all of them. Haven't seen American Fiction.
Nominees ranked: Killers of the Flower Moon Oppenheimer The Zone of Interest Maestro Past Lives Barbie The Holdovers Anatomy of a Fall Poor Things American Fiction
It's a lock to be a "services rendered" Oscar for Robert Downey Jr. but Charles Melton not even being nominated is one of the most egregious snubs in a long, long while. Terrible.
1. Anatomy of a Fall 2. Killers of the Flower Moon 3. Past Lives 4. Oppenheimer 5. The Holdovers 6. Poor Things 7. Barbie 8. Maestro still need to see Zone of Interest and American Fiction
I've only seen Killers, Holdovers and Barbie so far. Killers was great. Holdovers was good. Barbie was okay.
Going to try to see Zone of Interest in the theater when it goes wider next week, and hoping American Fiction and Poor Things go to VOD soon.
1. Past Lives 2. Barbie 3. Oppenheimer 4. The Holdovers 5. Killers of the Flower Moon 6. The Zone of Interest 7. American Fiction 8. Poor Things 9. Maestro Still haven’t seen Anatomy of a Fall, but I’m quite confident I’ll like it more than Maestro. I really did love the rest of these though!
Snubs/Surprises -No Leo for best actor -No Charles Melton for supporting is the worst -No Margot, but Ferrera yes -Indiana Jones for best score and not The Boy and The Heron? They really can’t get away from John Williams can they -Past Lives with only BP & screenplay nom -No KOTFM for screenplay -May December for only screenplay and no BP?? -Nyad and Napoleon with more noms then May December/Past Lives -No Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for best animated
Saw everything but zone of interest since it’s impossible to see. Not too mad about the best picture lineup. Kinda what I was expecting.

I don’t know what else Melton needed to do in May December to get the nom. Maybe break the fourth wall and mumble “for your consideration” On the other hand, pleasantly surprised by that Nimona nom
Of the BP nominees: 1. Oppenheimer 2. The Holdovers 3. Killers of the Flower Moon 4. Past Lives 5. Anatomy of a Fall 6. American Fiction 7. Barbie 8. Maestro Seeing Poor Things Friday, and ZOI hopefully next week. Of those I’ve seen, I didn’t really dislike any. I thought Maestro was fine, but frustrating. So, all in all, a really solid group.
