I feel like a lot of the reaction is just about will and chris, like they’re ignoring the fact that he went out of his way to insult his wife after he knew it upset her and was told not to before. A lot of those celebs don’t want anyone human emotion involved whatsoever, they’re just trying to make it about themselves because they probably say a ton of dumb shit and couldn’t imagine someone holding them accountable for it.
What all of you white people fail to understand is that slapping a comedian on stage is an experience with deep roots in Black comedy history. It is an emblematic expression of the post-colonial subaltern engaging in anti-hegemonic resistance to the overculture. But you all aren't ready for that conversation
