I used to think violence was completely unacceptable, no matter the reason. Then I saw Will Smith slap Chris Rock at the Oscars. The Pandora's Box has been unleashed

 

I wish somebody would have publicly apologized so we wouldn’t have these galaxy brain takes.

I want to talk about how weird it was that they turned “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” into a tribute to the Oscars.

 

Today I stood in front of my classroom terrified. Terrified that my students now feel like they can slap me because they saw that old man slap another old man on TV. And no one said sorry!

That’s what I am saying. Only Big Will could not only do it, but get away with it like this and then dance to his own diamond-selling hits at the afterparty holding his Oscar. It’s bizarre and amazing and funny.

 

Other big take away for me is although Travis Barker is obviously “great” at drumming he is fucking annoying

 

I somehow completely missed the part with Travis and I am very okay with that
