Also the security at a regular comedy show would likely intervene if someone from the audience tried to get on stage and assault a performer. I don't know what kind of security they have at the Oscars but they probably thought that something staged was going on when Will got up there and started walking toward him. That wouldn't happen at a regular comedy show.

 

But comedians are the last truth tellers in our society and the bastions of free speech and don't you know comedy clubs are essential even during a global pandemic because people need stand up.

The only person who needs an apology is me. The Oscars need to apologize to me for putting on a show so bad and boring that I turned it off before the slap happened.

 

Jada deserves the opportunity to slap both Chris and Will on television.

 

I don't know what that means but cool. I'll still stick with the not at all out there and bizarre take that it was an over reaction, and normally when people over react, they apologize. Sure, it was a poor joke, Chris should apologize to, but it's insane land in here that some of ya'll think it was an appropriate response and it was a cool thing to do.

Yeah like, would I have done what Will did? I don't know. Probably not. I probably would have found Rock backstage, gotten in his face, and fucking yelled at him about it. Made him apologize to my wife immediately. And if he refused to do so, maybe then a slap would've been in order.

But that said, I'm not going to say what I would have done is the objectively best and right thing to do.
