Strong disagree, this is the most memorable award show moment since the La La Land debacle

 

This whole thing really highlights how shit society is at handling and downplaying emotional harm

Ableist jokes on national television do more collective harm than one guy getting punched. But because we’re taught as a society to just brush off hurtful words we see a bad joke as something harmless to be ignored and a punch as a terrible act of violence

 

Jokes about people getting slapped will be written into oscars scripts for the next decade. People went on for 2 or 3 years when jennifer lawrence simply tripped lol

 

So what is the likelihood Chris and/or Will are actually never invited back? Unlikely right?

 

Honestly I’m mostly glad Will slapped Chris because it seems to have mercifully killed the lame “we’ve entered the speed force” meme in its crib.
