considering the amount of musicians that make original songs for the Oscars and never get any nominations or wins, let alone 13 nominations, calling it love seems fair lol she’s the diane close of best original song. the Oscars love diane lol
It's wild that we're going to hear a performance of a nominated song that came out over two years ago.
That article reads to me less like someone with something interesting to say and more like someone trying to express his disdain for everything in the most complicated and obtuse ways possible.
I don’t agree with portions of it but found the perspective and thoughts interesting and well written

It’s just probably not going to win anything, not saying anything about its quality. I haven’t seen it.
I haven’t seen No Way Home, but I have a hard time imagining anything having better visual effect this year than Dune.
1. Drive My Car 2. Power of the Dog 3. Licorice Pizza 4. West Side Story 5. Nightmare Alley 6. Dune 7. King Richard 8. Coda 9. Belfast 10. Don't Look Up
1. Drive My Car 2. Licorice Pizza 3. Dune 4. Belfast 5. West Side Story 6. The Power of the Dog 7. Coda 8. Nightmare Alley 9. King Richard 10. walking around at a third eye blind concert
This is my preference based on my enjoyment of the film, not necessarily what I think was the best made necessarily. Obvious quality plays into it, too, but if something well crafted bored me I put it lower. 1. Licorice Pizza 2. Drive My Car 3. The Power of the Dog 4. King Richard 5. Coda 6. Belfast 7. Dune 8. Nightmare Alley 9. Don’t Look Up 10. West Side Story I feel bad for putting WSS last instead of Don’t Look Up, but it just was so utterly boring to me. There is such an incredible amount of talent and skill put into the movie and I just felt completely cold. DLU had a couple laughs at how stupid it was so my viewing was more enjoyable to me.
Dune Drive My Car West Side Story The Power of the Dog Licorice Pizza Nightmare Alley Belfast King Richard CODA Don’t Look Up Top three are pretty interchangeable as far as my personal enjoyment of them goes, just all obviously very different. Similar to Belfast-King Richard-CODA in terms of how much I disliked them. I really don’t want either of those to win, but that wouldn’t compare to how annoying it would be if Don’t Look Up won
