This makes more sense. I don't see why they would be doing a song premiere during the Oscars. I think that would be unprecedented.

 

did you see the live action ones too?

I got to see the Animated ones, and then there was like a 75 minute break before the live action ones started, so I watched Les Miserables in a different theater and then jumped back to the Live Action shorts, having missed the first two (Sister and Brotherhood) - Just wondering if it's worth going out of my way to go back and catch those two?

 

Yep, saw the live action ones too. Sister was great, possibly my favorite or tied with Nefta Football Club. Though it’s not an easy watch. Very intense. Brotherhood was good, but it felt a little too telegraphed.

It's a bummer because Sister is one of the only ones that's not available to watch online. I think I'm gonna try to go see another movie tonight or tomorrow and then just jump in and watch Sister (and Brotherhood) real quick.

 

Has anyone seen any of the Foreign Language nominees? I saw Les Mis yesterday and enjoyed it, though Portrait of a Lady on Fire would have been a much better submission for France. Curious about the other nominees, particularly Corpus Christi.

 

I still have hope Parasite will win Best Picture. If Moonlight could edge out La La Land, anything is possible.

I've seen Parasite, Pain and Glory, and Honeyland. They were all excellent. I'm hoping to catch the other 2 soon enough but I probably won't be able to get to them before the Oscars.

Gonna be a busy week for me. Of the best picture noms, watched Marriage Story last night and I still need to see Ford v Ferrari, Irishman, Little Women, and Parasite.

 

Ford v Ferrari is the only one I've yet to see. I don't have a strong desire to see it.

I need to watch ford v ferrari and jojo rabbit. Don’t really have a desire to watch either and I don’t think they’re available to rent anywhere right now.
