I sat on these a little more, and here's my ranking. Joker was a lot higher before but after hearing some of my friends' criticisms and sitting on it a little more, I realize its issues more and threw it further down the list, though I still like it for its individual accomplishments than as a whole film.

You’re right. I guess I had hope in a year this good they wouldn’t do this. Should not be surprised.

man, i love this stupid award show, like truly. i could not possibly imagine caring/getting excited about who is a presenter.

 

Really? Those are usually some of the only entertaining parts of the night. Especially when a show is shaping up to be as boring as this one.

 

Kelly Marie Tran will get more screen time here than in Rise of Skywalker

I rewatch that WIll Ferrell/Kristen Wiig at the globes bit quite often.

 

It won't win, but in five years it'll be laughable that The Irishman didn't win best picture imo

 

i mean, not really. it will be insane that we got hollywood, irishman, and marriage story all in one year and none of the three won, though.

edit: leaving parasite out of this bc i still maintain it has a chance of winning

 

I agree it does still have a chance. This’ll be a really good test of how much control the older members still have of the Academy.

I learned my lesson last year picking Roma over Green Book. Parasite won’t win.

 

Yeah, not sure theres any I'd be more surprised by than Parasite tbh.

 

Parasite won SAG AND ACE. 1917 is definitely still the favorite, but Parasite absolutely has a stronger chance than Roma did. Roma didn’t win one precursor.

 

The SAG win is huge for Parasite’s odds but I just don’t think the Academy is ready to give the win to a foreign language film yet

 

Is there a site that accumulates all the award season wins? That does seem like the only likely indicator of anything, since I assume a lot of the voters for each show are the same people over and over
