How would we rank the ten Best Picture nominees from the 2010s?

    The King's Speech
    The Artist
    Argo
    12 Years a Slave
    Birdman
    Spotlight
    Moonlight
    The Shape of Water
    Green Book
    Parasite

By the way, this is the list chronologically, not how I would rank them. I want to make that VERY clear.

    Moonlight and Parasite are great

    Then 12 Years a Slave

I liked Shape of Water, Spotlight, and Argo okay

I didn’t like the King’s Speech, Birdman was also bad, and I haven’t seen Green Book or the Artist

After the first two you are entering dark water. After the sixth film you are going into really rough territory.

My ranking, plus who should have won that year:

    1) Parasite (also acceptable answers: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood or The Irishman)
    2) Moonlight (I would have still been down for La La Land)
    3) 12 Years A Slave (Her or The Wolf of Wall Street)
    4) Spotlight (Mad Max: Fury Road)
    5) The Shape of Water (Dunkirk, Lady Bird, Get Out or Phantom Thread)
    6) Birdman (Boyhood or Grand Budapest Hotel)
    7) Argo (Django Unchained)
    8) The King’s Speech (The Social Network or Toy Story 3)
    9) The Artist (The Tree of Life)
    10) Green Book (Roma)

Honestly I've never seen 12 Years a Slave, but I just gotta imagine it's better than my last two.

    1. Parasite (Parasite)
    2. 12 Years a Slave (I enjoy watching The Wolf of Wall Street more, but 12 Years a Slave is the best film)
    3. Moonlight (La La Land, but Moonlight was my second favorite)
    4. Birdman (Boyhood, but Boyhood is my favorite movie of all-time, so I'm kind of biased)
    5. The Shape of Water (Get Out)
    6. Spotlight (The Martian)
    7. Argo (Django Unchained)
    8. The King's Speech (The Social Network, but there were 6 films I'd have been happy with instead)
    9. The Artist (Moneyball, I guess. Idk was kind of a weak year for BP)
    10. Green Book (The Favourite)

King’s Speech beating the Social Network is the most egregious. Absolutely ridiculous.

You could also say the Artist over Tree of Life, but the latter never really had an actual chance.
