Gonna watch Parasite again this week for sure (and The Host)

 

my man is not going to like what he sees lol

 

He is the one who tried to start an argument. No one stops liking a movie because it won an award. It was bad trolling.

 

It reminds me more of when Justin Vernon trashed the Grammys and they gave him Best New Artist anyway lol

 

only thing that would've made tonight better would've been Sandman being nominated for and winning Best Actor

 

Hopefully this gets more people to explore Korean cinema more. Bong is just one of many directors who have been putting out excellent work over the last fifteen years or so.

Korean culture becoming so popular in America, from BTS to Parasite to Gangnam Style a few years ago, is an unexpected development.

The nominations themselves could have been a lot better, but considering what we were working with it all turned out surprisingly well. Gerwig for adapted would be at least one quick change I’d love to make off the top of my head.

Ending on that note is such a better vibe for the thread than last year. Everyone is so happy and I love it.

 

I didn't realize Okja and Snowpiercer were directed by the same person but I liked both those films so maybe I should watch Parasite?

 

yeah it's a real case of whiplash where last year I wanted to die and this year i'm really glad i didn't!

 

for real though, next year Green Book 2: Revenge of the Boomers is winning Best Picture to make up for this so get ready

 

and all his other movies, which are better then those two
