Now I need to watch Parasite finally. It’s been on my radar but hadn’t gotten to it yet.

 

Spotlight kinda makes sense at least since it's a big ensemble movie, which I guess Parasite is too haha

 

So happy for Parasite.

Looks like I got 18 out of 24 correct for my office pool. Lets see if that gets me at least 3rd place.

 

This is like when Arcade Fire won the AOTY Grammy

 

Yeah it totally is, the shock is just that they decided to award an ensemble of entirely Korean actors haha

 

I’ve never been happier about a dumb Ward show result

 

Man this is like back when Moonlight won, just totally buzzing that they could actually make the right choice

i concur but it would've been better if that all happened uninterrupted. like, moonlight couldn't even get the win WITHOUT that clusterfuck

hey to be fair, yeah it worked out this year but think of all the times it hasn't lol

 

Only a handful of critics I follow on Letterboxd (and I follow quite a few) even rated Judy, and I haven't heard anyone in my personal life talk about it at all. What a weird win. Even when it won all those other awards you didn't really see it pick up traction.

Of course this means next year’s win is really gonna suck.
