Good shit. This band is just fun and doesn't really fit within a genre box. The opening track is fantastic. Starts as a catchy little indie jingle then some shredding and blast beats and goes back and forth doing whatever it is. I wanna catch them live but the next tour is with Glaive (who I need to check about) but something about an 18 year headliner means I'll probably stand out as the old guy.
Finally getting around to this and really enjoying it so far. Thank You, New Jersey reminds me a lot of Back in the USSR. Picture Frame reminds me a bit of Perspective, a Lovely Hand to Hold. Will be fun driving around to this when the weather gets better.
I eventually got a deal at the door in Manchester and was able to get into their sold out show, but oh boy how devasteted I was to learn that the possibility to "maybe come in around when the main show starts" was solely about Origami Angel and didn't include Prince Daddy and The Hyena (which I actually wanted to see more, cause I've been listening to them longer). I was so happy to get in and enjoyed their set a lot, but then I got crushed hahh. I'm really gonna have to hunt them down somewhere else in Europe some other time to forget about that miss. Despite the fact that I flew in only for a couple days and went to see 3 different shows 3 nights in a row, I was still a bit disappointed on that account, so stupid ;c
YO. They're so fun live. Confirmed they're coming back to the UK later this year, I think on a support tour. Can't wait to see them again at 2000 Trees.
November as main support to The Wonder Years on The Greatest Generation 10th anniversary Let's fucking go
The closer has the second fewest streams of any song on the mixtape, only to Looking Out. What is going on here
Closer is the best track here. Tough to say what's second. Out of Kobayashi and Second Best Friend if you ask me.
I saw these guys on Saturday and inadvertently spent the entire show with Ryland's parents. Nice folks also they rule live
I got tickets for The Wonder Years 10 year anniversary show for The Greatest Generation in London. I adored that album 10 years ago and saw them tour it so that'll be a nice nostalgia trip. I have to say though, I'm a lot more excited about catching Origami Angel for the first time.
This is a top 5 record of the year for me and even as stacked as the fall calendar is with new releases, it’s going to be really hard to move it. Pitch perfect bubblegum songwriting.
