This band hasn’t missed and keeps getting better with each release. This one will probably end up as my most played of the year.
I'm not going to sit here and explain how a double LP and double album are extremely different things, I'm not going to list the tens of thousands of albums that fit on two LPs. I also don't care if this is a double album or not, was just curious at first and it went too far haha
Yeah, they’re different things for sure. I also think most people don’t know or care so I basically find them interchangeable, haha. But yeah I don’t really care, was just helping fill in the blanks for @xapplexpiex
They wanted it to be. And the first half ends at greenbelt station. Riley says so on the YouTube track by track he did with the guy from glass beach.
Like The Mother, The Mechanic and The Path by The Early November was on that wiki page for double albums even though it's clearly three albums haha
I’ve been thinking back to all the shows I’ve seen in my life. Both times I’ve seen Origami Angel they played less than a half an hour even though they were headlining and I was left wanting more. Does anyone know why they always have such short sets?
Yeah, one of the times was in January 2020 and Short Fictions was opening. The other time was in December 2021 and Pool Kids and Save Face were opening
Ok that makes sense, I was at both of those tours as well and they were both much smaller/more diy tours. They’ve been playing longer sets on their “real” headlining tours since then.
Yeah, pre-Gami Gang they barely had more than 30 minutes of material. That tour with Short Fictions was really fun though. When they walked on stage was when I found out they were a two-piece.
Curious how they sound live as a two-piece.... lots going on musically, on most of their stuff, especially this newest record.
I've never heard two people make so much sound. Literally, if I had had my eyes closed I would have thought they had five people on stage.
yeah that was a surprise when I saw them with The Wonder Years on the upsides/suburbia tour, I knew they were a 2 piece but assumed there would be other musicians live
