Happy 5-year anniversary (!!!) to an amazing album.

The final "CITY NEVER LETS ME DOWNNNNNN" reprise is one of the ultimate You Need to Rewind It and Can't Just Listen to It Once moments in all of music.

 

I still almost always listen to this starting at "The Title Track" running through "The Air Up Here" into "Welcome To . . ." and then through the entire album.

Yeah, Somewhere City is the quintessential Origami Angel album imo.

The albums after that are good but feel like rehashes or lesser versions, idk...it's all a similar vibe. I'd rather just listen to Somewhere City, I think. Not hating though, new album is good.

Actually threw on Welcome To last night after being a couple drinks deep and yeah I think now I’m ready to admit it’s their best. Gami Gang is a close second though. Songs like Mobius Chicken Strip and gg are quintessential gami tracks.

 

Picking a favorite OA album is like picking a favorite child. I just can’t do it.
