Question. Literally no one I know listens to this band. I think for most of my friends (who like what I generally like) this would veer too much into the "pop punk/emo" category. Obviously they're so tight musically and much more than that. But what's the ONE song you'd recommend as a lure to share with people to demonstrate that? My initial thought was second best friend or this newest one.
Skeleton Key or Few and Far Between. Feel like those two come to mind that have that gami "it" factor and covers that "more than pop punk/emo" bit
That’s a tough call. It was 24 Hr Drive Thru for me and I was hooked. The thing I love about Gami are the really unique/odd things they throw into otherwise normal songs. The “why you”s in Noah Fence, the ho down in PG County Summer or the “9-10” count in Tom Holland Oats come to mind.
I would urge you to give Gami Gang another shot. Some elements seem juvenile but it has so much heart overall. By the closer I'm genuinely moved every single time.
I had been trying to get my buddy into them for years and Thank You, New Jersey was the one that clicked for him. He’s been a huge fan ever since.
24 Hour Drive Thru, specifically from this clip: Having said that, Few and Far Between makes me smile like almost nothing else every time it comes on.
