Just finished the Spirit Trial in the Wellspring area and it almost broke my game. It’s been freezing so much and just shutting down every once in a while. Everything is immensely better than the first one, but man, this is getting annoying.
How is everyone enjoying the game now that we are a couple days into it? I am really trying to stay away from guides and spoilers and find that if I just explore use the ability I just got I will usually find my way.
Just on my second day but as someone who isn't crazy about blindly exploring in games, man do I love exploring parts of the map I havent gone to yet. I've found it to be pretty smooth as far as knowing where to go next. Had a little trouble finding the lost compass but found it. I'm gonna be really upset when I'm done playing
I do agree that sometimes you need a bit of a direction and it can be frustrating but it's so rewarding to figure things out on your own.
That platforming has been stellar so far, love the move set I have so far and can't wait to see what else is in store
Really love this game. The score is incredible. I have had minimal disruptions, seem like a lot of people are having issues with it though.
my map is completely glitched/showing objects in wrong places so im stuck at 99% with no way to know how to 100% it
No issues yet on PC. About 25% completion so far. I love all the changes they've made from the first one, and the graphics are even more beautiful. The story is every bit as gorgeous and devastating as the first one. My only complaint is that there is so much to do that it can be overwhelming looking at the map. My strategy right now is trying to get everything I can in each section before moving on to the next one.
yup multiple achievments i should of gotten i didnt. sucks to not know if im actually missing things/secrets or if game is glitched
Finished this today. Def a must play for any metroidvania fans. Lots of stunning environments. Ori's movement is super dynamic and fun to just run around with. Would've enjoyed seeing a bit more variety form the enemies. And eventually you just get so much health and energy that you can kinda just stumble through everything. But still a lot of fun, def worth playing especially if you already have xbox game pass
Finally decided to buy this, played through the original a few months ago and loved it. Got through the Wellspring area tonight and experienced some of the freezing y’all were talking about in here. Lots of really awesome updates though and it feels like there is quite a bit more of an open world feel in this one with all the side quests, trials, charms and stuff. I’m not loving the new “gravitate towards blue stuff” skill, but mostly because I don’t feel particularly good at it lol. Still a big improvement over the original so far though, which was already fantastic
Aside from the aforementioned freezing issues, it’s been great. The controls are customizable but still easy from the jump, and the artwork is outstanding. And yeah I think it’s worth playing the first one first. Aside from just the narrative perspective, Ori comes up on a lot of skills very quickly in the second one that are a little more rewarding to earn and learn about in the original. If you played them out of order, the first one might feel frustrating by comparison
Wow this game fucking rules. I don’t think I’ve come across anything as challenging as the first one so far besides the trials and combat challenges, but man this one is so much more expansive. I just got through the part where Ku dies and Ori has to find the wisps and it feels like I just got a bonus game or something.
Alright I’m up to the stenchy squid thing possessing Kwolok and this is easily the hardest boss in either game so far imo. Been sitting here yelling at my TV for like 45 minutes
Just finished. Game was incredible. It’s like all the shit I love about Hollow Knight but nowhere near as absolutely punishing. That ending was an even bigger payoff than the first game, very very emotional. I felt awful for Shriek, even though she was committed to the darkness. Seeing her crash land and stumble into the ash of the old owls to curl up and presumably die was actually pretty devastating. And Ori turning into the Light was not what I expected. Very curious how they go about a third story if they ever decide to. Anyway, may as well 100% it now since I’m so close. Gotta figure out who the fuck needed this stupid spyglass haha
