The last season of HIMYM took place over a weekend and everyone liked that!

Not excited about that idea but season 4 was so good that I have faith

Well, there is no coming back from that situation. If you don't pull the trigger, you're in the hole until you're dead, or beaten to all hell and a shit load of time added to your sentence.

I don't know what people like that want you to think. It's like, cool man, you are probably totally ruining a lot of people's careers.

 

Really sucks about the leak and really sucks that spoilers will likely be everywhere before the season officially releases.

 

The hacker was trying to extort money from Netflix but he only had episodes 1-10 and they were rough cuts and not in HD, so I don't think Netflix is really losing much from this. Only major potential problem is spoilers from the first ten episodes.

 

the idiocy is in holding the stuff for ransom. like, if you're gonna leak it for the lulz, you just leak it. or privately ransom it and try to get them to pay you in exchange for detailing the exploit you used to get it.

Realistically tho hacks like this end up being long-term positives IMO because it makes companies overall more secure.


unless this is all just social engineering hacks or the classic "get the screeners"

Season 5 is up!

 

Really? I had no idea it was back today

 

The lack of press I've seen relating to it is concerning. That, combined with the way Weeds went has me worried. I didn't see anything positive or negative about the show either based off the leaks.

 

Didn't realize it was out today, will check out a couple eps later.

 

Honestly kinda weird, but I've also noticed that Netflix isn't putting any promo money behind older shows anymore, just their new ones

 

I read some stuff on this season (including some spoilers).



It sounds ridiculous. In a bad way. Also little promotion could be because (not really plot spoilers, moreso thematic spoilers that could easily be predicted. And spoilers for the last season ofc) the season revolves around the inevitable prison riot and Netflix is worried about promoting it as taking sides in debates about incarceration and whatnot.

In regards to the actual plot and the leaks (no tangible spoilers about actual plot details) They make everyone stupid and react in the worst ways. And it's in an unrealistic way in their efforts to keep the show primarily a comedy. Some of the new relationships are also random as hell
I think it's clear what happened in the writer's room. S4 spoilers They had such a good reaction about how they handled Poussey's death last season and wanted to up everything up a notch. So, basically the same as Weeds

 

I've also heard that later in the season there's an intruder in the prison and it basically becomes a slasher movie
I haven't watched any of the season yet but it feels like it has "Jump the shark" written all over it

 

Three episodes in and this is really bad.

 

That's not encouraging :(

 

I watched the 9 episodes that leaked a while back and it has the possibility of being my favourite season. I like when this show is ridiculous though, I feel like that's when it's at its best.

 

Only on the 6th episode but Danielle Brooks deserves every fucking award for this season.
