I wondered this as well, but was she actually doing any of the heroin last season or just caught with it? I honestly forgot This was one of my favorite bits so far, like how tf did she not kinda see that coming lol
Anyone know why this came to be? I wonder if Nicky and Pornstache especially were just written out or there was some kind of conflict with the actors.
Just finished episode 11...holy shit. Definitely the best season. Ginormous step up from season 3. Why couldn't Jenji Kohan do that with Weeds? I'm glad we got Suzanne's back story, but holy shit it was intense
Just watched episode 12... and I don't know what to think since I know Poussey's backstory is in the finale
Just finished the season, easily the best of the show. I was dreading this season and now I can't wait for season 5.
Only watched 11 episodes, but I'm still in pain from Suzanne's origin story. I kept thinking 'that was it?' after every little thing. "Oh, she just unintentionally lured some kids from the park...oh she's just going to get in trouble for accidentally kidnapping...HOLY FUCK GOD NO"
Also regarding Suzanne's back story (I don't consider this a spoiler), the quick reference to an AR-15 seemed eerily timely.
Fair, although I feel like Bennet was only the worst because the writers decided to completely change his character at the last minute, it just seemed strangely out of nowhere to me :P. Finally starting 4, and episode 1 is definitely starting off strong!
Regardless of how I feel about specific characters, I always love their backstories. Even characters I hate. Also just wanna bring up (as I assume I'll finish the season tonight), Seasons 2 and 3 both had horrible endings.
Just finished it and definitely a big step above season 3, but I hate it when... they end it on a damn cliffhanger though that was a pleasant send-off for Poussey
Literally every time Daya showed up this season, it was like "Oh right, you're still here". Her awful baby storyline took up such a massive chunk of the first three seasons and now there's nothing for her to do.
As I've said, I'm not finished with the season (it's been on my mind all day), but I don't understand how people hate Healy and don't sympathize with him at all.
That's how a lot of characters felt to me. Mendoza barely did anything until the last couple of episodes. Boo and Pennsatucky barely were there. It was like characters that had a lot of time in previous seasons took a backseat to characters who barely had significance before like Maritsa and Maria
Also someone please just give Danielle Brooks all the fucking awards, her work in the finale was absolutely stunning.
Meh on this season's ending. I'm fine with ending on a cliffhanger; it was jsut weird to have Daya suddenly the center of the plot out of nowhere. And this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I hate how the last shot was part of Poussey's flashback. Being an ensemble show with no main character, I hate when they end with something that focuses on one character and not on either multiple characters (season 1, which I guess is different since Piper was a main character) or the prison as a whole (season 3). It's why I hated the ending of Season 2; but even moreso because (I forget her name) was barely a main character. But I actually liked the last scene of Weeds so idk if my opinion on endings matters
Great interview with Samira Wiley but I'm gonna block out the link because of spoilers http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat...ack_discusses_season_4_s_shocking_ending.html
Season was really great. I was so engaged, especially during the last half, which is more than I can say for any of season 3.
