half a mind to suspect that all these other cast members are being reported on because thr/deadline/variety/etc. are aware there's a ton of conversation (if you can call it that) around who's in oppenheimer, and thus get easier engagement and such out of it

I completely think it's Universal/the studio pushing those stories.

This is an annoying thing that's hopefully gonna die down. It happened with Knives Out 2 and Asteroid City and people made the exact same jokes and memes acting like an ensemble cast is a new concept
