The nuke test is still the lamest thing about this film; looked incredibly cheesy and nothing like the scale of a nuke. Felt no sense of awe or wonder at the visual sight of the explosion. Should have just CGI'd it
I had issues with the scale of the explosion too but I’ve also only seen the movie cut into 20 posts in a Twitter thread
Yea, I think this was just a case of it being overhyped. It was not as big of a crescendo as I expected, and it also happened much earlier into the film. Definitely left me underwhelmed but everything leading up to the movie was about that moment so it was almost guaranteed to fall flat if you were paying attention to the marketing. Overall though, I really enjoyed the movie and ultimately am glad I saw it on the big screen in one sitting vs at home with interruptions.
Yeah, it's a bummer they didn't manage to deliver with the explosion. Still an incredible scene, but it's hard to measure up when the real footage is accessible.
I showed my wife the tweet saying it’s sold out and she gave me a standing ovation for securing the bag last week
Best Buy app only shows 2 stores in Oklahoma that have it in stock and the next closest is Denton, TX roughly 3 hours from me
