Ngl, sounds dumb. Barbenheimer was a decent summer 2023 meme which led to a cool double-feature event for some. Let’s keep it there and not overdue it.

 

Fully expect noms for set design, original score, best actor, supporting actor (Blunt & Downey), adapted screenplay, sound, & editing

 

I haven’t really been paying attention as much as I usually do this year. Who’s Nolan’s biggest competition for best director?

And best picture too, esp with 7-8 noms

 

a lot can change in a couple months time. as of now the only things that seem to be secured for oppie are most of the technical noms (and even kotfm could easily win editing for all we know), especially with dune 2 out of the way

not to mention a slew of other films to be released during oscar season

 

It just feels like if there’s one blockbuster that fills in the Avatar away of the Water slot from last year, it’s this

 

this and barbie will both be nominated for best picture, neither will win

 

it's getting nominated in at least 12 of those categories, make up and costumes are kind of the only ones im unsure about

 

but i agree, killers of the flower moon is winning BP

Oppenheimer is objectively one of the top 10 films of the last 23 years. This is an undeniable fact.
