People gave Nolan grief for the “Oppenheimer suiting up like a superhero” sequence but Kenneth Branagh treats Hercule Poirot’s mustache origin in Death On The Nile like it’s Peter Parker seeing Uncle Ben die what is going on here
Those who dislike the seen where Oppey is suiting up are just offended by the amount of rizz. They've never experienced it before. It's only natural.
I’ve seen the movie twice and I have no idea what people are talking about interns or Oppy suiting up. The JFK name drop was a huge eye for sure though.
i think “interns” is just being used for his students that become colleagues. the suiting up part is very obvious. he’s looking out a window and he puts on his hat and grabs a pipe after krumholtz is like take the army uniform off. the music gets very intense for him to put on a wool coat. it’s goofy lol
Easy: 1) Oppenheimer 2) Albert Einstein "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds" - Oppenheimer, in the movie I honestly did not cheat.
Ooh, ooh - I can do this one too: 1) Jake Sully 2) Parker Selfridge "Out there, beyond that fence, every living thing that crawls, flies, or squats in the mud wants to kill you and eat your eyes for jujubes" - Colonel Mikes Quaritch
I didn’t realize that it was making fun of 1 specific tweet but there’s enough dumb people like that it very well could have been sincere
I didn’t remember the exact original tweet before this, but that very dumb Avatar discourse was so common (especially when Way of Water hit) that I got what it was mocking immediately, lol. A lot of dorks on Twittxr itself seemed to miss the point and get mad, though, which I also find funny. So, glad to expand the reach of that I guess!
Never seen them either. Not on my watch list. They both look great from what I’ve seen in ads but I just choose other films whenever I have time.
