You have to ask your theater specially for that showing. I promise they’ll know what youre talking about.
IMAX 70MM had the dong cut .... In all serious I'm so curious what this is like without the IMAX aspect ratio changes (or even in a Liemax). There was something so immersive about those transitions (except when they do it mid scene or mid dialogue) that added to my love of this. Probably why I loved the physics-y visualizations
I have a friend who did the 70mm and he really hated the aspect ratio changes. I saw it in IMAX at AMC and it was the same size the whole time, clear, great sound, etc. Didn't have to deal with imperfections or subpar sound, etc.
Absolutely loved this. I left the theater shaking. - I was on the edge of my seat during the lead up to the test. The score worked wonders to heighten the tension of that scene.. I’ve maybe never been as emotionally moved by a score before. - it would’ve been really easy to screw up the Einstein scenes, but it was handled masterfully. Such a powerful ending. -RDJ was on top of his game - Emily blunt testifying was one of the highlights of the movie - I saw it with my dad and he got a kick out of the JFK line, so I quite liked it despite the corniness. - Affleck’s character was terrifying - I had heard the last hour was boring or confusing, but I was hooked. - Two books won the Pulitzer this year. Can both Barbie and Oppenheimer win best picture please?
Just saw this for a second time, and somehow liked it even better than the first viewing. I sat on the opposite side of the IMAX this time and all the dialogue was much clearer than my first viewing last week.
Felt so damn emotionally heavy in the aftermath of the bomb. At times in the last stretch, I thought, “this is good stuff, but it’s hard to care about this after the bomb.” Love that the ending kinda made that the point.
Saw this last night. Floored me. One of the year's best and a career triumph for a director who has had many of them. Goddamn.
I have absolutely no patience for them, but yeah, some people love them. Look at their subscriber count. That video already has almost a million views.
