I don't know if it'll sound different in the context of the movie but the way Matt Damon delivers the "how about this is the most important thing to happen in the history of the world!?" line in the trailer comes off so funny for me
that line and his “there’s a chance that when we push that button…we destroy the world?” line both feel so…off? i’m hoping it’ll either sound better in context or that it’s dialogue cut up for the trailer. but they are by far my least favorite parts of the trailers. always take me out of what otherwise looks and sounds stunning.
oppenheimer is actually the prequel to we bought a zoo the first of many new additions to the Zoo-niverse
It's really weird reading the book and the actual way these scientists and military guys spoke to each other, and then seeing Damon as Groves in the trailer sounding like "this is the most important thing in the history of ever of all fricken time dude wtf!" It's a movie obviously but that definitely stood out as silly
Groves: "You're telling me there's a chance when we press this button, it'll destroy the entire world." Oppenheimer: "The chances are near-zero." Groves: "Zero would be nice." Oppenheimer: "But dude...this bomb is gonna be sick as hell." Narrator: And it was. The bomb was rad *Groves and Oppenheimer fist-bump* *Slow Ride starts playing*
I’ll be 100% honest, the only thing I’ve seen of that movie was Jimmy Kimmel’s skit about it at the Oscars lol… maybe it’s good I have no idea, I’ve just seen clips
