With the Odyssey coming this week here’s my Christopher Nolan ranking: Memento The Dark Knight Inception The Prestige Interstellar Batman begins Dunkirk Oppenheimer The dark knight rises Tenet Insomnia Following

I must bite on this one Silence About a Burning Fire With Shivering Hearts We Wait The Great Depression A Thought Crushed My Mind Blindside
Interesting that you like Shivering more than Depression. I felt like Shivering fell apart a bit in the back half and had very obvious single-made songs, but Depression is just a beautiful album that takes a lot of real swings.

Interstellar The Prestige Oppenheimer Inception The Dark Knight Batman Begins Memento Tenet Dunkirk Insomnia The Dark Knight Rises Interstellar really clicked for me on a rewatch earlier this year. Still need to check Following off the “to see” list.
The Dark Knight Oppenheimer Memento Interstellar Inception Batman Begins TDKR I haven't seen the others
These are great rankings and you should definitely tear into Remission next time you're in the mood for some thrashy shit.

I'm not sure I could ever truly trust someone who isn't putting The Prestige at the top of that list.
I liked both a good amount in high school but am unsure if either would hold up for me or feel too gimmick-y (I'm not a big Nolan fan in general)
They're both great. I appreciate what they went for on Depression, but not all of it lands for me. It drags a bit in the middle. I thought Shivering did a great job recapturing the Silence/Burning Fire era sound while also pushing it forward. I like the back half of that album a lot, and "Monster on the Radio" is the only track that feels to me like it's pandering for mainstream success. I reach for Shivering more than Burning Fire these days, and seriously considered flipping them in my ranking.
Wow. I can't say I'll ever agree with this but you are definitely making me want to give Shivering another listen.
As for this, I also can't agree. Fell In Love With The Game is a strong single, City Lights has a great chorus, You Must Be Bleeding Under Your Eyelids is massive. Not sure what part of any of this drags.

Yeah, I was kind of going by memory based on looking through the tracklist, but you're right, City Lights is better than I remembered. After scanning through it, my chief complaint is actually the harder tracks. Yamkela, We Are to Follow, Come to Rest, and to a lesser extent We're All Going to Die feel weaker on that album in comparison to all the really beautiful, more anthemic tunes.
Can't agree. I love We're All Going To Die, great chorus, great message. Yamkela goes off hard too, and have you heard the story behind the song? I love how socially conscious the band is.
