I think I would have Go a bit higher but overall I can’t help but agree with this. What I wouldn’t do to hear these records for the first time again…

Yeah looking at other people's lists I think I need to give both Even if it Kills Me and Go another shot. Even If It Kills me and Wasted Wonderful were pretty neck and neck. I did not like Go at all musically even if I liked some lyrics quite a bit, but to be honest I think forcing myself to listen to it when I was in an irritable and more aggressive mood when I probably should have listened to some high bpm extreme metal or hardcore probably was not the best idea lol. So I'll give Go and Even If It Kills me another shot. I really did like my top 3 though and will continue to come back to them though. 4 and 5 were I liked some but not all. And the bottom 2 I was not a fan of. But once again I'll give Go and Even if it Kills me another shot.

Even If It Kills me was always a little too pop-rock and scattershot for my tastes (I would cut a few tracks tbh), but it's an undeniable piece of that classic first four-album run - even if I prefer Go to it (and MDL). Go is a really impressive step into new territory while retaining what makes MCS distinctly themselves, even if it's not what audiences wanted to hear at the time.

So after completing my first band on "trying to get into pop punk" discography, I came out with three albums I really enjoyed from Motion City Soundtrack and will continue to come back to. (Maybe more to see if the others grow on me) Which of my remaining four bands should I tackle next? Jawbreaker, PUP, Sum 41, of Jeff Rosenstock?
