so I threw this on staying at a friend's house when I had nothing to do and ended up watching the whole s1 lmao. really great stuff except when I googled the cast to place some familiar faces and the first result said who the killer was. that was super not chill

still really enjoyed the season despite that though. chemistry with the three leads is A+

 

Yeah I’ve learned to never research anyone to see where you recognize them from until AFTER you’ve completed an entire show haha

 

I can't stop thinking about the silent episode of s1, that was truly phenomenal

 

loving s2 so far. Lucy is such a good character

not knowing who the killer is is a pretty good way to watch a murder mystery show! who woulda thought

no lmao I loved Poker Face! just joking about the fact that I had the killer in s1 of OMITB spoiled for me

speaking of which I polished off s2 of this today. that reveal was... fine, I could barely follow the plot by the end of the season because so much was happening, but I still enjoyed myself so much that I don't really care. one major thing that bothered me was Alice and Mabel apparently being cool by the end, what Alice did to her was super messed up and the show really glossed over that whole thing

this show is such a riot, and it's so good at subtly fleshing out characters who initially seem like archetypes. pretty impressed that I finished the season with a lot of sympathy for Teddy, Theo, Nina, Bunny etc. when it hits the emotional beats it does it very well. I was pretty misty eyed at the "if you're not my father, I don't know what a dad is" line. really excited for s3, I hope Lucy is just a part of the main cast now

Apparently Steve Martin said the season 3 premiere will be August 8th during his and Short's comedy tour on Saturday.

 

This looks just as fun and lovely as ever

 

first two new episodes were great, the editing in Oliver's big scene in episode 2 is phenomenal

Streep and Short genuinely have fantastic chemistry too
