Wow. I'm sorta blown away.

Not in the "best song I've ever heard," but blown away by OneRepublic's growth over the years. The last album showed the band really hitting its stride, and the new songs have got to be some of the best songs I've ever heard from OR. That bridge hits soooooo hard. Even Peter Gabriel gets upstaged!

Also, the walking bassline that appears throughout this song reminds me a lot of Jesse McCartney's "So Cool"

 

This is good. Solid. Gives me the feel-goods that Counting Stars did that will probably wear off.

 

Not gonna lie, I mostly checked this because I was interested how Gabriel would fit in, and it's a very solid track! Maybe I should give these guys more of a chance haha

 

Yeah, I'll at least be giving the new album a chance. I'm not about to turn around and invest in their back discography, though.
