    Finally saw this today and it completely lived up to the massive hype for me. Absolutely beautifully shot, amazingly well-written (it balances being hilarious and extremely thrilling/stressful so well) and the performances are incredible. Chase Infiniti is a revelation and I just fucking love watching Leo act

    I really need to go back and watch the PTA movies I haven't seen, I've only seen Boogie Nights, Punch Drunk Love, Inherent Vice and Licorice Pizza

    I mean, I don’t keep up with him because he has always struck me as an asshole, but a quick internet search pulls up allusions to him defending Ye, criticizing cancel culture, and lamenting that people complain too much about Trump. So I can only imagine.

    It is unfortunate that he is such a dumbass contrarian loser because he still very much has the juice. The Shards was so good that I might read his White anti woke book. Sometimes he says something insightful behind a controversial pull quote, but most is nihilistic drivel that boils down to “I don’t care about the politics, only the aesthetics”. He’s a moron.

    i wish i loved this. and tbh i'm not really sure what i would've wanted to be done differently, let alone how to articulate that. it's an excellent film in basically every aspect. i guess i just wasn't 100% all in on the vibes.
