am I the only one who finds the servers walking around mid movie to be almost more distracting than people on their phones?

Bracing for random people in my life that aren't as into movies feeling the need to tell me that they didn't think this was worth the hype in the coming months. Always a bit deflating when I am passionate about a movie

This is going to have the dumbest backlash for a movie in years. We have another six months to go.

he looks like this all the time now... but also, he must have not had his comb in his pocket or just had a really dry mouth so couldn't fix it up properly.

Benito was amazing in this. If I was giving out the awards, I would give them to him.

Thinking hard about those phone calls and that methodical call center energy of repeatedly asking for the time like you need it to pull up his account... and then asking a fucking revolution for their supervisor. And I think that's exactly how a modern day revolution would go, just feeling like you're on hold all the time.

Yeah. The “radicals” were def more concerned with their codes and nicknames and making a name for themselves than Del Toro who was quietly housing vulnerable families, operating an effective whisper network of locals, and getting shit done, all while operating a dojo. His line about “we’ve been doing this for hundreds of years” or whatever is one of my favorite non-comedy lines.

They’re usually so quick and lasts only towards the beginning of the film with maybe a few here and there after. Really no difft than people going to the bathroom. Also, no chance, they’re wearing all black whereas in the dark theater the phone makes a ton of light pollution which I’ll catch out of the corner of my eye from across the room; you know majority of people don’t change to dark mode or dim that shit.
