Five star film and I wouldn’t even put it in his Top 3. Crazy shit.

I think I agree after one viewing. Probably put it at 4.

there’s something more enigmatic about TWBB, The Master and Phantom Thread that I’ll probably always prefer those. But who knows.

Way too early for me to rank this in his filmography. His best films are some of my favorite movies ever

I can’t rank and this is not commentary on the quality of any of his films including this one, but this is up there with Boogie Nights as the movie I’d recommend to most people starting out with PTA.

I know it's dumb, but I've come to associate that song with Parks and Rec so it kind of landed weird for me

There are so many fun scenes. It isn't as strong as things like The Master or There Will Be Blood, but that doesn't stop it from being great. The comparisons to Terminator 2 are so interesting because of how similar a movie they are if you wash away the genre trappings.

Can you remind me what scene it’s in? I used to rewatch Parks a lot but haven’t in a while

Oh yeah, the last time I watched that episode was probably also the last time I heard this song

I think of Scrubs. That needle drop still hit me like God Only Knows at the end of Boogie Nights. Nearly welled up. Big reason why I left the theater on such an emotional high
