have you never even heard of the movie until today elf?

 

Im familiar with the main cast but not the huge supporting cast.

Magnolia is a straight-up actors' showcase. Still closeups, just letting them deliver. Moore and Cruise are breathtaking.

How I'm feeling after my rewatch of Magnolia tonight. I think that five film stretch from Boogie Nights to The Master might be my favourite ever.

 

Inherent Vice last is crazy work

 

I'm thinking of revisiting that one tomorrow night to see if I like it more now.

 

go into it knowing it’s a fun ride that doesn’t fully add up and I think you’ll enjoy it a lot more

 

Inherent Vice was the first one I got to see in theaters and that memory of seeing it holds a special place in my heart

 

Happy to report that Inherent Vice really hit for me this time, hilarious film with a lot more to say than I originally thought.

 

It definitely hit the first time I saw it. There’s a moment in the book involving a Ouija board that was written so beautifully it brought me to tears the first time I read it, and while the movie captured a lot of the comedic spirit, it never moved me to the level that the novel did. It’s hard to do with an adaptation that is very faithful to the text. I am happy that this one is not as direct of an adaptation…and that I only read 50 pages of Vineland so far

 

Might rewatch there will be blood and inherent vice before seeing this on Thursday.

The Master is a much easier watch than I remember. Every scene pops

 

bought tickets for the crew today, friday night in imax. let's go. watched phantom thread tonight. somehow had never seen??? damn...it's so good though!! love watching people make dresses apparently and pta really did wonders with psychosexual aristocratic subtext

 

Got my ticket for Saturday at 5:15pm

Hoping to see this Saturday but convincing my gf to go see a movie can be challenging sometimes. Not even going to mention the length, wish me luck.

I would see way less movies if I didn’t go alone all the time.
