I finally got around to watching this last night on a whim and HOLY SHIT it was amazing. I was so not ready for that ending. I know Affleck and Damon are the best bff duo but Leo and Brad absolutely killed it!

The book pretty much has the latter half of the movie being pretty much just a footnote. Definitely worth a read because you get everyone's full career summary (including Shannon Tate and unmade Tarantino films and a scene where Rick and Cliff meet his stepdad who mentions and gets an autograph for his "little boy Quentin")

If he is eventually cast, Tarantino better not cast Jamie Taco too... he steals other actors' lines!!

Tarantino simply just tried to be a revisionist for the sake of story. Sometimes people buy it, sometimes they don’t.

I don’t see the point in anyone still talking about. Any journalist who continues to ask Shannon about it 4 years later is a douche. Let her be.

The whole depiction of Bruce Lee was thru an unreliable narrator (Cliff) as it’s a flashback to the one time his character interacted with him.

I know Tarantino said differently, but yeah that always read as Cliff big-upping himself versus the actual reality.

Do they think Hitler had his head blown off and body burnt to a crisp in a movie theater? His films are cartoonish in their violence and they’re upset he got tossed into the side of a car?

Is there a thread for The Movie Critic yet? Just saw this

Paul Schrader also reiterated a long-rumored facet of Quentin Tarantino’s The Movie Critic: “Quentin will insert extracts from films from the 1970s. And he will also make his own versions of films from that era. He asked my permission to shoot the ending of [Rolling Thunder], by John Flynn, as I had written it in the original screenplay—before it was completely rewritten and watered down.”

Mikey is in the upcoming Sean Baker film Anora, which is getting a lot of positive press/reviews, especially for their performance.
