I love that the it seems like 2 different movies tone wise in one. It's a lot of fun.

I actually just watched Jackie Brown tonight and I loved it. Not at all what I thought it was but I really enjoyed it (though it was a bit too long imo). Also noticeably way less violent/dark than most of his other movies lol

Saw a trailer before Midsommar yesterday that really played up the Manson angle. It surprised me to see them pushing that more since he has spent so much time saying it isn’t the point of the film or a big part of the runtime. It was also the first trailer I’ve seen that showed much of Margaret Qualley’s character. There are still quite a few major players that I don’t remember seeing in any promos yet.

Honestly I’ve been surprised they aren’t leaning into the Manson angle more in the marketing of it. They know that’s the ”juicy” stuff that will get the general public interested despite it not being a focus of the movie.

Planning on it. I know our local AMC already has 4pm showings on Thursday, but I'll probably see it at my theater (less of a drive/free). I assume our first show will be 7pm

Just watched Death Proof for the first time... and yeah I can see why this is most people's least favorite QT film

Purchased tickets for the 10:30 AM showing that Sunday morning. Have high expectations for this one. This Brad Pitt / DiCaprio bromance should be entertaining as hell.

Django has some great stuff in it but man since Sally Menke passed he’s had a notable pacing challenge

I'd be very interested to see what Django would have looked like had he not had to cut it the way he did. it suffers a lot after losing it's two most colorful/interesting characters at the same time

Officially finished my QT watchthrough today, my official ranking (as of this moment) is:

    Kill Bill 1 & 2
    Django Unchained
    Pulp Fiction
    True Romance*
    Reservoir Dogs
    The Hateful Eight
    Inglorious Basterds
    Jackie Brown
    Death Proof

Wasn't sure if True Romance should count so I gave it an asterisk. Also, I really like them all except for Death Proof which was just okay
