Getting the blessing of Tate’s sister means we’re probably saved from a gruesome death scene.

This is the first time in a long time that I have been excited for a Tarantino film.

 

I'm still struggling to figure out where the fear of this being an exploitative Manson murder movie came from in the first place. QT has been up front since the beginning that all of the Manson stuff was part of the backdrop that the movie takes place in, not that it would be the sole focus.

 

Because subtlety and tact aren't in his vocabulary haha, also concerned that he'd humanize Polanski

 

No those are all valid points (and the Polanski thing could unfortunately still be true) I was just saying that it was weird that people started calling this "the Manson Movie" when it was never sold as that at all.

 

Like, I'm really hoping Roman Polanski is away in Europe shooting that movie he was making when the murders took place for 99% of the movie and he isn't actually in it beyond like a scene of him walking out the door at the very beginning and waving to DiCaprio's character next door or something.

 

Hopefully Tarantino won’t give an ounce of humanity to Polanski. Him being a Bruce Lee fan might help although Tarantino loves controversy.

 

yeahhh i’m super excited for this but also dreading to see how he handles certain elements
