I know I'm light years behind on everything but how random is it that this album was produced and co-written by the singer from As Tall As Lions
Looks like Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff and St Vincent are now credited writers of Deja Vu, apparently because of Cruel Summer similarities
IMO, the similarities to "Cruel Summer" on "Deja Vu" are definitely not close enough to merit a writing credit.
Annie wrote it with Jack during the Masseduction sessions but it never got fleshed out into a full song. Jack brought it to Taylor and she finished writing it. Annie and Taylor never directly worked together on it.
Yeah it's annoying that the music industry is at this point where someone felt the need to add credits or was forced to
This article is so weird. While they interview someone who says she is a star, they also interview guys who say she won't be relevant enough to tour in a year and her career will be short lived. Very odd article for Billboard to post.
Also literally no one starts with an arena headlining tour lol, plus that's like 8 months not that far away
I love Pavement (and Death Cab and Bonnie Prince Billy etc.) but why would a journalist ask their agent about Olivia Rodrigo?
Biggest shock of that article is that they have 3k-5k venues booked for her 2022 tour. It's gonna be impossible to score tickets!
In my dream world, she is going to support Taylor Swift on tour, I score tickets, I sing along and cry, the end. :)
