I want to get the vinyl as soon as I get a new turntable :) definitely one of my favorites of the year.
finally giving this a shot because I stumbled on "good 4 u" and really like it. "brutal" is also great. not sure how much I'll enjoy the rest but we shall see
I really like the upbeat songs on the album (brutal, deja vu, good 4 u, jealousy, jealousy) - the rest doesn't do much for me (for now)
The chord progression in the choruses of “Misery Business” and “good 4 u” is the same, but it’s also not some crazy unique progression by any means. But it makes sense that some people might hear the similarity because of that.
I've heard this, but not entirely convinced... so far it feels like a NATION. situation to me. From what I can tell... she has previously sang songs on IG that are not on this album. Those songs apparently are happy songs about positive relationships, and fans were surprised when this album was full of breakup songs. Because of this, fans think those other songs are gonna be on a second album called Sweet. Everything I have seen just sounds like fanfiction with no actual evidence to back it up though
Yeah, it's definitely only a fan theory at the mo. But I'm into it. Especially with that Sour Patch Kids collab... "Sour then Sweet." I MEAN COME ON STEVE!!!!
that's been their tagline for like, 20 years, but I do agree they probably used the tagline to get ready for an Olivia ad campaign haha!`
Billie has a lot more die hard fans though, so who knows haha. I believe both of them will be one of the best sellers of the year, but I’m not sure who will top who yet. Sour has been stable since release, which I think is awesome :)
Billie also sold out a worldwide arena tour in less than 2 hours. Not sure if it came with a redeemable album download or cd to boost those numbers
Is that practice still legit? I don't recall if that kind of bundle was part of them most recent changes.
Yeah, no way. You can tell from the turnaround time this album that they rushed just to get this out in time to meet the massive demand off “drivers license”. I don’t have any info one way or another and I’m sure she has other songs, but I’d be shocked if another album were out this year. More likely a few songs for a deluxe and a bunch of social/tour content.
I went out for the first time since being fully vaxxed and hearing deja vu at a semi crowded bar felt so good. The girls next to me just screamed “OLIVIA!!!!” and started dancing.
