This got a chuckle from me.

 

Yeah, I keep going back to my earlier point about merch bundles relative to more established audiences. This is an interesting case study for how rapidly you can build a merch-buying fanbase.

She had the best five months basically anyone could ask for, but it looks like despite the hit streaming, most of her audience just wasn’t at buy-a-shirt levels of artist love (or they didn’t like the merch). Give her the two month breathing room to do one short tour and her sales might be another 100k higher with no other changes.

It’s also been interesting to start to see Olivia stan accounts appear on Twitter. I don’t think I have seen any internal metrics for tracking how many stan accounts an artist has, but my theory is that there’s a relatively direct correlation between the size/ferocity of your “stan” presence online and how “safe” (from a minimal sales threshold POV) your release will be. Would love to test that out, because I think the number of like @olivia_rodrigz_brazil accounts is only going to rise with this level of success and PR saturation.

 

Apologies if I missed this, does anyone have a breakdown of all the vinyl variants available? Decided to pre-order it.

 

Her merch is cute but more than I wanted to pay. I think she'll build up her base nicely over time. I thought she might share some swiftie stans but I saw they were sending her snake emojis for sending Kim k a promo box so idk lol. Idk that stans ever want to join forces because it's always a silly competition for your fave to reign supreme. I love how she has captured the hearts of so many millennials tho.

 

I believe it’s just what’s on her website and then the Target exclusive.

Yeah the first time I heard her voice, the delivery and her tone reminded me of Eisley. It's been years since I listened to this band so I wasn't sure which one of the singers she reminded me of, but Sucré is probably the one I had in mind all along!

Lol yeah they sent them out to all the typical ~influencers. When Taylor is on the receiving end of the snakes her stans say it's bullying but then they do it to a young artist who Taylor is friendly with and Olivia is clearly a huge fan of. Stans gonna Stan I guess. Always has to be pitted against one another

 

There are Amazon, Target and Walmart variants. Pretty sure the Walmart one is pink, Amazon is purple, and Target is blue with an alternate artwork.

 

Damn I went to pre order the Target variant and it's already sold out
Amazon one is out of stock too. Hopefully Target gets stocked up in stores come August.
