Yeah dude, I'm so stoked to follow his work now. It's like he takes all of what I think sounds good in my head, melodically, and makes it a reality, if that makes sense haha? Like, sonically speaking, I think he and I have the same thoughts as to what sounds "good" to us.
My wife watched like, 100 Olivia interviews on YouTube tonight and she's got amazing music taste and is a very astute and likable human, she's got such a bright future.
I think “brutal” is the most interesting song here....it’s definitely the one that sonically gets me most excited for what she’ll do next. She’s pretty clearly a very talented songwriter and I really like her influences, she has great taste obviously......she would fit in well on chorus.fm (if she isn’t already here....)
Also this record did make me go back and revisit Melodrama and wow we need Lorde back, that album is still so stunning and yes underrated. It’s like our Hounds of Love.
saw this song referenced online as being good, it's not too shabby for a song from a tv show about a movie or whatever this is

I was definitely under in my guess but sort of right that physical sales weren’t going to be the driving force for this album. It looks like actual sales are going to account for 20%-25% of the total.
Vinyl would definitely have helped this record, but Taylor Swift sold 600,000 copies of Folklore last year without vinyl. I don’t think I even have a point, just realizing how much of a goddamn machine TS is.
I appreciate that you included the @phaynes12 quote here. Looking forward to @Drew Beringer giving us his take on “Chasing Pavements.”
