She has a very similar voice to Lorde. There’s definitely some musical similarities too but the biggest thing for me is her breathy vocals when she sings lower/quieter (songs like enough for you, the verse of good 4 u, etc). I’ve always thought of Lorde as having a very unique singing voice, and I always attributed that to her accent, but after hearing this album I think the breathiness is what gives her a distinctive sound.
Not trying to be a smartass, but who is still buying CDs? Are they cool with teenagers again for the retro vibes?
you guys don’t have a record player in your car? All my vinyl be scratched as shit. I have five CDs in my car. Michelle Branch, NIN, Title Fight, O’Brother and a compilation of some shitty record label. this is great btw
I buy CDs for my car or I would only have the radio (which is fine, but I like picking my own music once in a while).
If you’re referring to my comment, I believe it was “a lot physical copies relative to the top sellers”, which is who she’s being compared against. We’ll see! You have the biggest guess, might be doing an Adele cover :)
I mainly still listen to CD's - bought this on CD the other day (Although I'm not that fussed with it) It's become a bit of a maligned format, but honestly, a lot of albums sound vastly superior on CD than they do on vinyl (although that format has undoubtedly become the hipsters choice in recent years)
I've slowly been selling & donating my once massive CD collection, because it's been years since I've owned a device that could actually play them.
