They had some tables set up at the Palm Springs show I went to but they weren’t handing them out en masse from what I saw, def didn’t have anyone approach me or my niece with anything. The crowd at this show was extremely young, majority of the crowd was 13-17yo, with parents. Its a very important message to get out there so it’s disappointing to see she’s pulling back on it but have to think some of the parents complained if they were truly just giving Plan B to teenagers at the MO show.
Damn y’all the cheapest pair in NYC is $820 EACH and they’re behind the stage. $200 sounds like a dream haha
Frustrating how this has unfolded. Her team is providing resources to people which is something we need to do more of. It's not like she's on stage saying "Hey kids, go bang each other in the bathroom raw dog, we got plan B on hands" or anything of that sort.
she’s out there doing the right thing! i think some of these parents taking their kids to the show might be a little caught off guard. it’s awesome that they’re providing these products and educating people on them, I just don’t think they realized exactly how young the audience may be.
I haven't read in depth about the shows. Are people literally walking around actively handing this stuff out or is there, like, a booth set up that attendees can go to and check out?
the show I went to there were tables set up in the arena concourse but I didn’t see anyone handing anything out. People are reporting that at the St Louis show they were actively dispersing Plan B, not sure how accurate that is besides the social media reports though.
my sister shared that with my family group text (originally from MO). looks legit. on a slightly-related note, the Pitchfork article linked above mentions state Sen. Bill Eigel condemning her and falsely claiming Plan B is an abortifacient. his stupid comments aren't surprising (i think i recently remember him saying that exceptions for abortion would allow infants to get abortions, so... yeah). i worked for the MO government for half a year and sat in many hearings with Sen. Eigel. not allowed to say more other than that he's an incredible fucking manipulative human, and will stop at nothing to screw over all kinds of Missourians.
