Ooo really? I was just guessing that they split it six and six! Didn’t take into account the bonus track. Lol I literally might buy the record now or steal it from work. Which bonus track is best?

 

I’ve only heard the one on my copy, which is the purple variant. I think it’s called “The Girl I’ve Always Been.” It’s nice enough, and definitely a different vibe from her. Acoustic driven, kind of in the mold of folky early 2000s VH1-core singer-songwriters like KT Tunstall. But I definitely see why it was a b-side. I’ve heard great things about “Obsessed,” but I’ve only heard snippets.

There are shitty vinyl rips of all the songs on YouTube. I think "obsessed" and "scared of my guitar" are both really good. "girl i've always been" is enjoyable too. "stranger" doesn't do much for me.

 

My copy arriving today will have Obsessed. But my player is packed for my move so I won’t be able to hear it for a few weeks.

 

on first listen I thought the ballads were too much, but after sitting with the record for a bit I really enjoy all of them. Olivia does it again, most exciting pop star out there right now, hands down.

Music history people, this is a newer phenomenon, right? Like super famous acts didn't used to routinely do 4 nights in a row in big cities, right?

I checked Wikipedia and Spice Girls did it in the 90s and MJ did it in the 2000s so the idea of arena residencies has been around at least that long

 

To be fair, the 4 arena shows don’t even equal 1 night at the stadium Taylor played in LA, and she played 6 nights at that stadium lol

 

haha that's so wild. Where did she play/where is olivia playing in comparison? When she was in Philly she played Lincoln Financial Field I believe which is like 70,000 capacity I think between seats and standing room only. I think she did 3 or 4 nights here?

 

Olivia is playing at The Forum, a 17k capacity venue. Taylor played at Sofi Stadium and I believe she said 80k people were there? And again, she played 6 nights! Her popularity is insane

 

6 nights in one city with a stadium that big is wild haha
