kind of a subtle album musically, but heavy contentwise!

I had forgotten what good lyrics were! this is amazing!! it's like there are sooo many superficial lyrics (I'm ok with that) that when you listen to something like this... it's heavy

 

I'm waiting until I have the lyrics before I listen. He's very good with his words.

 

The Silver Gymnasium really blew me away eventually: it was a slow, subtle burn, but I grew to just absolutely love it. I'm kind of expecting the same thing here.

This is crazy, but I'd never really listened to this band until recently. Spotify recommended a song from The Stand Ins and now I'm obsessed with the album, particularly the songs Lost Coastlines and Calling and Not Calling My Ex.
