I absolutely adore When I Am God, but CoF is better in nearly every way

 

I will give it a listen

 

There's definitely a nostalgia factor. I mean we grew up in DFW and went to small Oh Sleeper shows and watched em blow up in real time so there's something to When I Am God that brings me back to that place

 

Yeah when it came out I was really into the local scene and that record was huge to me

glad I saw them play it last year

 

I dunno if y’all listened to it, but Micah and Shane were recently on the Bad Christian Podcast and they went into detail about how Oh, Sleeper was pretty much 100% over and it’s really interesting

 

Anyway in the theme of embarrassing, long haired era, Oh, Sleeper photos...

I will listen to both albums this week and tell you all, definitively, which is the better album.

Son Of The Morning has probably my 2nd favorite Oh, Sleeper song on it (A Banquet Of Traitors)

 

Really? On Micah's instagram I always saw that they are recording the new "Blodied/Unbowed" album. Even when Shane had the side project with Wovenwar, they always said that Oh, Sleeper will continue. That's why I was really surprised of this new teaser video, because to me they were never breaking up. But I'm glad they won't and signed again with Solid State.

 

Yeah Children of Fire is the best and most complete imo.

And the EP after that too.

Super pumped to hear new stuff!

Yeah that was a great episode. I definitely prefer the BC episodes with bands on. Just find them more interesting.
